what is Maternal Fetal Medicine?
Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) is a medical subspecialty that focuses on the care of pregnant patients and their unborn babies (fetuses). It involves the management of high-risk pregnancies, which can be caused by a variety of factors such as maternal medical conditions, fetal abnormalities, or complications of pregnancy. The goal of MFM is to optimize the health and well-being of both the patient and the baby.
MFM specialists are obstetricians/gynecologists (OB/GYNs) who have undergone an additional years of training in the diagnosis, management and treatment of high-risk pregnancies. They work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as genetic counselors, neonatologists, and pediatric cardiologists, to provide comprehensive care for the patient and fetus.
Overall, Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians have a specialized knowledge and skill set that enables them to provide comprehensive, expert care to high-risk pregnant patients.
Maternal Fetal Consultants provides a wide range of services to high-risk pregnant patients and their unborn babies. These services include:
Management of maternal medical conditions
Management of high-risk pregnancies

Maternal Fetal Consultants will work together with your OB/GYN to provide comprehensive, specialized care for you and your baby.
